Chips EveryWARE

Adam Greenfield, who has written "Everyware, the Dawning Age of Ubiquitous Computing," had some harsh words on his blog for my Chips Everywhere article. But there's always a happy ending to Yuri's endeavors: He is willing to be that expert who will be interviewed for comment for my next technology story!

Man, what an inspiring attitude you have. I'm not sure I'd have the grace to parry criticism like that.

Thank you, Adam. Criticism from experts such as yourself makes us better reporters. The interest in technology stories out of Tokyo is huge _ much greater than stories about our prime minister even. Although China and India are the headline-grabbers now, as far as perception, Japan produces far more technology/company/trend stories than it gets credit for. Why is that? Just a case of poor marketing by Japanese politicians/intelligentsia _ and journalists covering Japan?
